The Creative Achievement Awards celebrate and reward the outstanding achievements of individuals, teams and organisations that are helping raise the global profile of creative industries in NSW.
Past awards have recognised some of the best of the state’s creative talent such as the Australian visual effects and animation studio Plastic Wax, (2017 Creative Laureate winner) and inspirational contemporary Australian fashion house Romance Was Born (2017 Emerging Creative Talent winner).
This year, the awards program is seeking talent in a new category, the NSW Young Creative, open to applicants aged 25 years and under.
Creative industries peak associations are being encouraged to promote nominations from eligible industry professionals or organisations and to promote the awards to members and networks.
The three award categories are:
- The prestigious NSW Creative Laureate. This award recognises an individual, team or organisation making a positive contribution to the global profile, growth and development of NSW creative industries.
- The NSW Emerging Creative Talent award honours an individual, team or organisation emerging in the creative industries sector. The award recognises leadership, originality and innovation and offers support for future development with a prize of $15,000.
- The NSW Young Creative award.
