Oriental Brush Painting – A One-Day Workshop

This one-day workshop with Riki Allsop will cover an introduction to the Oriental studio: brushes, ink, and rice paper. Students will learn basic brushstrokes, calligraphy and the classic subject of bamboo. Students will explore traditional techniques of Oriental Brush painting. Spontaneity, skill, joy and an appreciation of nature are all integrated in this expressive medium. All materials will be provided for this workshop at a cost of $5 per student, payable on the day.
