It’s time to get excited! A new state-of-the-art regional gallery and central library are on the way for Coffs Harbour, as part of a new cultural and civic space. A place to gather, create and discover in the heart of the city, on Gordon street.

A new cultural heart that is inclusive, attractive and welcoming to all is proposed to include:

  • a new state-of-the-art Central Library and Regional Gallery
  • a multi-purpose meeting space to also be used for Council meetings
  • Council customer service and administration offices
  • Redesigned streets surrounding the new building and precinct

All with plenty of parking nearby, just two minutes’ walk to City Square and with easy access to public transport. The city centre location offers the ultimate in convenience - you can shop, use services, indulge your taste buds, exercise, get creative and check out a cultural experience - all in one visit.

The new space embraces contemporary planning best practice, which sees the importance of creating modern, cultural and multi-use facilities in central locations. The library and gallery, in particular, will attract people into the CBD, which is a vital part of the Coffs Harbour City Centre Masterplan and crucial to achieving that plan’s goal of making the centre of Coffs a buzzing place for locals and visitors alike.

Coming soon, you will be invited to give your feedback on three different architectural concept designs for the new facility. Watch out for this exciting opportunity to be part of shaping our future and register for updates :
