Screen-Shot-2017-04-05-at-12.00.29-PM

The National Aboriginal Design Agency (NADA) is the commercial arm of Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance.

NADA is working in collaboration with Coffs Harbour City Council to create designs reflecting stories from the ‘Old Camp’, which is the site currently known as Fitzroy Oval.

Part of our brief is to engage with the local Aboriginal community and in particular Aboriginal youth. To meet this brief NADA will engage Gumbaynggirr artists to act as mentors to Aboriginal youth in two art workshops.

The purpose of the art workshops will be for artists to work with and support you in creating artworks/designs that reflect stories from the ‘Old Camp’.

The selected artworks will be translated into graphic designs and used in the new installation at the site of the ‘Old Camp’, now known as Fitzroy Oval.

Selected artworks will be licenced by Coffs Harbour City Council for use in the finished work with a small licence fee payable to the youth who created the artworks.

Expressions of interest are being sought for aboriginal youth to participate in two art workshops, mentored by experienced Aboriginal artists
