Celebrating 21 Years in the Arts Hall
Wauchope Arts’ annual Chai Tent on Saturday June 23 will be a celebration of community, of the arts, of music, the power of shared experience and belonging.
The Arts hall was originally a Sunday School at Rawdon Island, then home to local senior citizens groups until Port Macquarie Hastings Council built new premises for the seniors in 1997. The group which became known as the Wauchope Community Arts Council then applied to manage the venue. 21 years later, they are still passionate about the role of the arts.
The Chai Tent is the major fundraiser for Wauchope Arts and plenty of local musicians will perform on the night.
Entry is only ten dollars at the door for the music, plus there will be home cooked soup and supper for sale.
The Arts hall is now a licensed venue, with wine and beer for sale, so no BYO.
Funds raised at the annual Chai Tent pay local support acts for touring national and international artists.
Join us in our celebration and a warm of evening home cooked food and homegrown talent.
