Everyone is invited to drop into Tea Gardens’ latest attraction – a beautiful art gallery called 'The Gallery' at 81 Marine Drive, well worth a visit. You can read about the wonderful recent opening night here courtesy newsoftheera.com.au
The Gallery is home to the non-profit community arts group Galleries in the Gardens, Inc (GIG) with members from the Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest and Myall Coast.
You may remember the spot – many years ago it was Nicole’s Café – and after months of dedicated effort by GIG member volunteers, it’s now a handsome cottage surrounded by a lush shady garden and the venue for an amazing array of local artworks.
From now until its official opening event in January, The Gallery will offer a host of fabulous Christmas and holiday gift ideas including small and large artworks, gift cards, jewellery, scarves, photography and sculptures.
Members’ latest works are on display and regular art gatherings will commence in the new year.
The Gallery is open 10am to 4pm every day except Tuesday and Christmas Day and is wheelchair accessible.
The members of GIG wish to thank Lee and Rob Anderson for their extraordinarily philanthropic gesture that has enabled this property to be utilised by the group.
