The Port Maquarie Hastings branch of U3A will hold its next Open Day on Tuesday 16 April 2019 at the U3A Centre Lochinvar Place Port Macquarie, 10:00am to 2:00pm. There are many courses and activities available, and our courses coordinators will be on hand to show you what’s on offer. Most classes are held at the U3A Centre.

U3A is a world-wide, non-profit organisation where retired people from all all walks of life get together to teach and learn from each other.
Classes are run by retired people on a voluntary basis, using their skills, knowledge and expertise to teach others. There are no HECS fees, no exams or assignments, just opportunities to learn from each other in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. There are also many social get togethers where members chill out, listened to interesting speakers or enjoy a a movie together.

Courses Include Australian History, Art Appreciation and Culture, exercise classes, computer classes, international dancing, astronomy. And even scrabble, bridge, choir singing, croquet and Petanque!
Research has shown that as we get older it is important to maintain our physical health, AND our mental health – U3A keeps your mind alive and active!
