Arts Mid North Coast is proudly participating in the inaugural AusArt Day- Australia’s first national day of giving to the arts, taking place Thursday 23 October 2025.
As the leading arts and cultural development organisation for the Mid North Coast, they deliver vital programs that celebrate creativity, strengthen local culture, and build sustainable careers in the arts.
From youth engagement and First Nations collaborations to disaster recovery initiatives and artist professional development, Arts Mid North Coast ensures the arts are visible, valued, and accessible across the region.
“Creativity is the heartbeat of our region, and the Arts are essential to the health and wellbeing of our communities,” says Olivia Parker, Executive Director of Arts Mid North Coast.
“AusArt Day offers a unique opportunity for everyone to give back and provide practical support to help ensure artists can keep doing what they do best.”
Recent data from Arts Mid North Coast’s Creative Futures research shows the region is home to over 3,000 cultural and creative workers, with local creative industries growing more than 20% since 2016.
However, many artists and organisations continue to face economic strain and limited access to funding and other resources.
“Access to consistent support is one of the biggest challenges for creatives in regional areas,” Ms Parker explains. “This is why AusArt Day matters- it shines a national spotlight on our sector and invites everyone to support the art that they love.”
“Every donation, no matter how small, helps us create real opportunities for local artists and communities and helps us continue delivering programs and services,” says Ms Parker. “We encourage anyone who values the power of creativity to get behind this national day of giving.”
As a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia.
