ArtsNational’s Philanthropic Fund has announced the launch of the ArtsNational Emerging Artist Prize.
This is a $20,000 non-acquisitive award that recognises excellence in art practice and directly supports a winning visual artist in furthering their career development.
Entries open on July 15th, and we invite Australian residents who are practising professional artists or tertiary art students between the ages of 18 and 35 to submit three examples of their work, a 300-word artistic statement outlining their art practice and a 200-word statement of purpose outlining how they propose to use the prize money to support their career development.
Entries close on August 31st. From a short list of finalists, a panel of three judges appointed by ArtsNational will announce the winner on October 8th 2026.
