Artists across the Bellingen Shire will once again open their studios, galleries and creative spaces to the public as the Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend returns on November 7 and 8.

Now in its fourth year, the popular event celebrates the extraordinary breadth of artistic talent throughout the region and invites visitors to explore the shire’s vibrant creative community while enjoying some of the Mid North Coast’s most spectacular landscapes.

Spanning the hinterland and coast, the Arts Trail will connect visitors with artists and craftspeople from coastal Urunga through to Bellingen and Raleigh in the valley and up the escarpment to the mountain villages of Dorrigo and Dundurrabin, offering a unique opportunity to meet local creatives, experience their working environments and gain insight into their artistic processes.

The weekend will feature over 40 open studios, galleries and shared exhibition spaces showcasing a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, photography, printmaking and contemporary craft.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover emerging artists, view recent works by established professional practitioners and purchase artworks directly from the makers themselves.

The Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend has become a much-anticipated annual event, attracting art lovers, collectors, tourists and local residents alike. It offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections between artists and the wider community while supporting the region’s thriving creative economy.

Event organisers encourage visitors to make a weekend of it, exploring the shire’s picturesque villages, hinterland landscapes and coastal communities while following the trail and engaging with local artists.
