Connecting Communities & Culture

In Celebration of Elton John’s tour, The National Cartoon Gallery are hosting an exhibition featuring all the best from the Captain Fantastic Cartoon Competition.

This exhibition is a salute to Sir Elton John, as our finest cartoonists, artists and enthusiasts portray him in a satirical and
comical light, accompanied by a small selection of music-inspired cartoons from the gallery’s 23,500 strong collection. With works in all shapes, sizes, and mediums, this exhibition is full of variety and features one of the world’s most colourful characters… It’s bound to entertain!

Having support in the way of prizes from Chugg Entertainment and EMI records there is hope the exhibition may even get a visit from Elton himself as he tours the country. With additional prizes and support for the winners of this dynamic competition from Opal Cove and the Park Beach Plaza.

Opening Night & Awards Ceremony – Friday 31st January, 6:30pm. Entry by gold coin donation.

Winners of the competition and unveiling of all entries announced with special guest and MC Irish Joe Lynch.
