OPENING NIGHT: 4 July 2025

Join us to celebrate the opening of the Forgotten Remnants exhibition and artist talk with Northern Rivers artist, Rochelle Summerfield. Her large-scale tree portraits pay homage to the landscape, carrying its physical and emotional imprint, along with the ephemeral slippages of time, memory, and loss. She often creates directly in the field, immersing her paper in the river, sketching a significant old tree, and nurturing a deep curiosity about local ecosystems. Rochelle has painted three temporary works onto the gallery walls, which will be washed away at the close of the exhibition, echoing the vulnerable nature of old growth trees that can be lost forever.

Free entry and refreshments provided. Bookings are essential for catering purposes.
