Growth Exhibition – Long Point Vineyard & Art Gallery

  • 4 Jul 2024 - 4 Sep 2024

A new artist exhibition at Long Point Vineyard & Art Gallery is opening in the first weekend of July. Featuring emerging artists Kay Thurston and Alycia Lipovac, 'Growth' celebrates the natural world through detailed botanicals and bright florals. The pair have filled the gallery walls with mid-small size affordable art - there's so much to see and plenty to choose from!

Kay Thurston creates incredibly detailed botanical pieces showcasing the beauty of nature. Using fine line markers on paper or canvas, her works are primarily in black & white with the occasional touches of gold. She has also recently started creating vibrant alcohol ink pieces overlaid with her signature, intricate ink botanicals.

Alongside Kay, Alycia demonstrates her artistic growth through her love for flowers and nature. You will find both her acrylic and oil paintings on canvas, as well as one uniquely framed gouache on glass artwork. Alycia portrays the world around her in bright and bold colours, so step into the garden and see what draws your eye.

The framing you see on both artists' work has been beautifully crafted by local Port Macquarie framers.

Long Point Art Gallery showcases talented local artists who express themselves through a variety of mediums. Exhibits change on a bi-monthly basis and are popular with wine lovers and art enthusiasts alike. You are most welcome to browse the artwork with a tasting glass in hand.
