International Women’s Day 2026: Balance the Scales

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Arts Mid North Coast’s MAKE/SPACE program presents a community exhibition exploring the theme Balance the Scales.

The exhibition showcases artists from across the Mid North Coast who are using creativity to reflect on where imbalance exists, where change is happening, and how art can help imagine fairer futures- a creative response to equity, gender balance, power, care, justice and how this is represented in our homes, our communities, and the wider world.

The exhibition will be presented at Coffs Harbour MAKE/SPACE from 22 February to 7 March 2026, aligning with International Women’s Day.

An opening celebration will be held on Tuesday, 24 February, from 5.30 pm- 7.30 pm, with the support of the Coffs Business Women’s Network.

percentage of artwork sales will be donated to a local women’s refuge, ensuring that this exhibition not only raises awareness but also directly supports women in our community.

Exhibition opening hours:

Mondays: 10 am- 5 pm
Tuesdays: 10 am- 5 pm
Wednesdays: 10 am- 5 pm
Thursdays: 10 am- 6.30 pm
Fridays: 10 am- 5 pm
Saturdays: 10 am- 4 pm
Sundays: 10 am- 2 pm

This exhibition is only possible through the generosity of Gowings Pacific Shopping Centres and their support of MAKE/SPACE Coffs Central.
