Join us for an engaging and intimate author talk with Dr. Sophie Masson AM, an acclaimed and versatile writer whose works have captivated readers across the globe. Born in Indonesia to French parents and raised in France and Australia, Dr. Masson now resides on the picturesque New England Tablelands.
With a remarkable bibliography of over 80 books spanning genres and age groups—from children’s stories to young adult and adult fiction—Sophie Masson has earned international acclaim. Her most recent adult novel, The Paris Cooking School (2023), marks the debut of her work under the pseudonym Sophie Beaumont, followed by the anticipated release of A Secret Garden in Paris this October. Her latest contributions to children's literature include the celebrated picture book Satin (2023), recognized with a Notable Books citation in the 2024 CBCA Book of the Year Awards, and the middle-grade historical novel The Key to Rome (2023).
In recognition of her substantial contributions to literature, Sophie was honored with an AM in the Order of Australia in 2019.
