A collection of works by Biripi artists Pastor Russell Saunders OAM and daughter Raechel Saunders that celebrate the beauty of Biripi land, its people and the animals that live alongside us.
The exhibition explores issues of Reconciliation, connection to land, and the revival of Aboriginal language and culture. Both Russell and Raechel work in a variety of mediums, including works on paper, painting, prints, ceramic works and wood carving. The family designs have been handed down through the generations, and they are created again and again in different versions to keep telling stories and share knowledge.
Exhibition opening – Saturday June 20, 2pm
