A $30,000 Annual National Acquisitive Prize, now in its 23rd year, for a painting inspired by the Australian landscape, principally sponsored by Chris Antico; founded and co-sponsored by Marlene Antico OAM.
The Paddington Art Prize is a national painting award dedicated to contemporary Australian landscape practice. Open to artists across the country, the prize celebrates originality, technical strength and diverse interpretations of the landscape, from traditional to abstract and conceptual approaches.
The exhibition highlights current directions in landscape painting and reflects evolving ideas of environment, place and identity in Australia.
The prize pool includes a $30,000 main award, a $3,000 Highly Commended Prize, and a $1,000 People’s Choice Award. These categories recognise excellence across the finalist group while encouraging audience engagement with the exhibition.
