Robyn Jackson, A Work of H’art

Robyn Jackson, an Australian artist living on the Mid North Coast, captures the beauty of the natural habitat through vibrant and expressive paintings. With a Bachelor of Education in Textiles and Design, she now works full-time as an artist.

Robyn will be exhibiting at the beautiful Nexus Art Gallery from the 25th of May to the 19th of June. The gallery is open daily from 10 to 4pm. “We would love you to join us for our Opening Celebration on the 25th of May from 12 noon to 2pm so you can meet the artists and enjoy a chat with wine and nibbles provided.”

Robyn’s work evokes a sense of place and emotion, “Like Margaret Olly, I am a colourist and with this exhibition, I have tried to make the ordinary extraordinary.”
“When walking my Kelpie Max daily, I am surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty both on our bush block, our local beaches and my garden, all inspirations close to my heart.”
“I am also hooked on the Silk Painting process which is essentially a drawing outlined with a rubber gutta followed by endless array of beautiful watercolour dyes. I am inspired by the vibrant colours and fluidity of dye on silk. “

Robyn’s art consistently elicits an emotional response, leaving viewers feeling happy and uplifted.
As a multi award winning artist, she exhibits regularly at Mid-North Coast galleries and opens her home gallery by appointment.
Robyn also holds Silk Painting classes and enjoys teaching the process to others and sharing her silk secrets!
