The Cost of Living: Creative Workshop with Peggy Zephyr

Artist Peggy Zephyr invites participants to take part in a larger community-led art project exploring the real cost of living, not financially but emotionally, socially, and physically.

These works become part of The Cost of Living, an evolving exhibition where community voices and experiences are represented. Your making on the day contributes directly to the exhibition, meaning participants become collaborators in a collective artwork that will be publicly exhibited.

Gowings MAKE/SPACE Program

In partnership with Gowings Bros. Ltd, MAKE/SPACE offers short-term creative activation opportunities in Gowings retail spaces across Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, and Port Macquarie.

Designed to support local artists and makers, Make/Space encourages experimental exhibitions, interactive workshops, and engaging studio spaces that bring art to life in unexpected places.

International Women's Day Community Exhibition

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Arts Mid North Coast's MAKE/SPACE program presents a community exhibition exploring the theme Balance the Scales.

The exhibition showcases artists from across the Mid North Coast who are using creativity to reflect on where imbalance exists, where change is happening, and how art can help imagine fairer futures- a creative response to equity, gender balance, power, care, justice and how this is represented in our homes, our communities, and the wider world.

The latest grants and opportunities for the creative sector all in the one place!

  • Make/Space

Make/Space is a flagship initiative of Arts Mid North Coast designed to increase access to affordable, fit-for-purpose creative spaces for artists, creative workers, and communities across the region. The program supports both temporary and permanent uses of underutilised spaces, embedding creativity into main streets, public spaces, and civic infrastructure.

Selected artists are provided with professionally produced live video recordings and images and take part in a Professional Development program.
