Join the Producers from Bath Time Productions for a tour of Swell Chasers: Surf Stories of the Mid North Coast and hear them discuss the content and processes involved in producing their film for the Swell Chasers exhibition.
The surf film has a long tradition, beginning in the 1950s when film makers travelled up and down the coast, screening the latest films in coastal towns. Since then, surf films have kept surfers up to date with the latest innovations, and new breaks from around the globe.
Commissioned by Yarrila Arts and Museum for Swell Chasers is a new short surf film by Bathtime Productions, who, in collaboration with several local videographers, have digitized a unique mix of vintage Super 8 and VHS footage that is shown alongside contemporary material. Footage has been shot from land, water, and drone perspectives, showcasing local surf spots and iconic surfers.
