Learn how to run a conference / community event, a film screening + Q&A, a dance recital or a small music event at Bellingen Memorial Hall and Studio BMH.

We are offering FREE training on the upgraded audio & lighting systems for anyone in the community with an interest in developing their skills.

Sessions run from 9am to 3pm each day, with catering provided. Instruction covers the operation of audio and lighting consoles and how to set up for a variety of performance artforms in both venues.

The training starts at entry level to support beginners, then moves on to intermediate and higher levels as the weekend progresses. All participants will have the opportunity to get the consoles running, troubleshoot issues and ask questions about Hall operations.

If you are a beginner, please attend on the Saturday and only attend on Sunday if you feel ready to tackle some more advanced training. If you are an intermediate/advanced level technician, please attend on Saturday to learn how the Hall systems are configured, then return on Sunday for some in depth training on the consoles.

Groups will rotate between audio and lighting each day. You must place a ticket order for each day that you attend. Spaces are limited to 40 per day and a waitlist will be in operation. If you register and subsequently cannot attend, you MUST cancel your registration to allow others to take your place.

This training has been funded by Live Music Australia – an Australian Government initiative designed to build more capacity for locals to run events at the Hall.
