  • 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm, This workshop runs every Friday for six weeks
  • 300

These weekly sessions are designed to offer practical support to all HSC Textiles and Design students who are looking for extra time to hone their skills for the practical component of their Major Works project.

This is a small-group workshop (only six places are available) so each student can get the most out of their sessions.

Each student project involves a myriad of techniques that they may or may not have mastered or feel confident putting into practice. The vision of a Major Piece can sometimes be dampened by a lack of confidence in their technical ability to bring their idea to life.

Here is where we can help.

At Punk Arts Collective we provide a studio space to spread out, practice, experiment and finesse the core skills that play a part in producing a student’s Major Work.

Regardless of the area of specialisation, be apparel, furnishings, costume, textile arts or non-apparel, we can offer supplementary support.

Punks Arts Collective’s main man — ahh, woman — has extensive hands-on experience across many textile related industries and has worked on costume, prop design and construction, and creature fabrication for feature films, London West End theatre and TV. She has also worked for bespoke ateliers and major fashion houses based in London and Paris.

If there are specific skills that students would like to focus on, we can arrange intensive, small-group workshops to develop those skills.

We offer short courses in mood board and portfolio planning, design and implementation and coursework presentation, just email us for details.

NOTE: We are here for hands-on support and do not override directives and instruction from HSC teachers or the requirements of the course syllabus.
