John Tuckwell: A Survey celebrates the thoughtfully crafted porcelain vessels of Bellingen-based artist and respected potter John Tuckwell. John’s work captures the interplay of light, colour, and texture, drawing inspiration from local landscapes, abstract forms, and the materiality of porcelain itself.

The painterly surfaces and translucent porcelain reflect both the natural world and John’s personal experiences. From elegant early works to more layered, constructed forms created after a life-changing stroke, this exhibition showcases the evolution of a practice shaped by place, adaptation and innovation.
