Sinfonia Mid North Coast announces “Destinations” a series of three concerts to be held at the end of June. The programme includes Mozarts Piano Concerto no 2, performed by Cameron Waugh, Sinfonia’s current scholarship holder. Also Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade arranged by Richard Meyer. Other well known works being played include Fantasia on Greensleeves and the Jean Sibelius Hymn Finlandia. Also being performed is the contemporary Odyssey of Dharmakara composed by Jordan Grigg, and most likely this is the first time it is being performed in Australia. The piece has influences from Japan, Tibet and China, which audiences will find exciting to hear played by a full Orchestra.
The concerts are being held as follows:
Tuncurry Memorial Hall Sunday 22nd June at 2pm,
Manning Uniting Church Taree Saturday 28th June at 2pm
Camden Haven Anglican Church Laurieton Sunday 29th June at 2pm
