About Louise De Masi

Louise De Masi is a professional watercolor artist and qualified teacher based in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia. Surrounded by lush forests and vibrant birdlife, she draws inspiration from nature in her everyday work.

With over 26 years of painting experience, Louise began her artistic journey as a sign writer before discovering her passion for watercolor in 2011. In 2014, she retired from primary school teaching to pursue painting full-time. Since then, she has sold thousands of paintings worldwide, licensed her work in Australia and the USA, and co-authored The Art of Painting Sea Life in Watercolor. Her art has been featured in Artist’s Palette Magazine, Australian Country Craft, and The Sydney Morning Herald.

Louise shares her expertise through online watercolor classes on Patreon and the Louise De Masi Art School. She also offers free tutorials and painting tips on her YouTube channel. With a Bachelor of Education, she understands how people learn and strives to make painting enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels.

Beyond her studio, Louise is a proud mother of three grown children and a devoted grandmother to two. Her mission is to inspire others to find joy in watercolor—whether by creating their own masterpieces or selecting one of her paintings to brighten their space.
