Luminance Gallery

Luminance Art Gallery exhibits contemporary Australian art. The gallery’s interests are broad, its ethos is local, its exhibiting artists are established and emerging.

Gallery Director Dr Dominic O’Grady is a member of Regional Arts NSW as well as Business Port Macquarie and the Greater Port Macquarie Tourism Association.

“I think of art much the same way as I think of food and light. It’s as important as love, scepticism and sometimes sadness,” Dominic says.

“Art deepens our connections to each other, to places and times our ancestors inhabited, and to the worlds we leave for future generations.

“The majority of work exhibited at Luminance Art Gallery is by artists who live and work on the Mid North Coast. But good art comes from many places, of course, and if you have an exhibition proposal, please look at our exhibition schedule on this website’s homepage as well as the Artist’s Expression of Interest form, also on this website.
