Players Theatre
The Players Theatre Inc. owns and operates the Players Theatre. This superb, 225 seat venue not only provides first-class entertainment for residents of the Port Macquarie and Hastings region, but enables the community to be involved and experience all facets of theatre including acting, directing, set design, stage construction, make-up and costuming.
The ‘Players ‘ have been active for over 50 years, consistently staging 5-6 productions annually ranging from drama, comedy, musical and pantomime.
The theatre is also available for hire to outside organisations and operates a Costume Hire Dept boasting an extensive range of theatrical and party costumes for hire.
Facilities
- A licensed bar and theatre snacks are available to purchase before a show and at interval.
- There are three dressing rooms. Dressing room #1: 16 capacity; Dressing room #2: 12 capacity and Dressing #3: 12 capacity
- There is no Green Room
Services
- The theatre has one (1) 3 phase power outlet that may be used by the hirer for additional lights on stage; suitable for a 12 outlet (2400W per outlet) dimmer.
- Sound: 32 channel sound desk, 10 x headset mics, 2 x handheld mics. Flown foldback. Fx processor. Feed to dressing rooms and foyer.
- Tickets can be sold through the Players Theatre Box Office via SABO. Ticket printing on request for a flat fee. Hirer can also sell their own tickets.
- Players have a crew of casual theatre technicians available for performances.
