Reconciliation Week Mural, Port Macquarie

Town beach mural 2

Designed by Port Macquarie artist Mel Streater Sealife on the Guruk Coastline was installed during Reconciliation Week 2022. The hand painted 70metre long artwork was installed by local artist Brad Collins, assisted by local secondary school students and community members.

Guruk is home to many wonderful sea creatures, great and small. Within this mural you will find humpback whales making their annual migration along the east coast, playful dolphins that surf the waves, lots of fish, some coral covered mountains, colourful crabs, meeting places and a journey line.

Mural is located on a retaining wall along the section of the Coastal Walk known as Charlie Upton Walk, south of Town Beach.
