South West Rocks Community Art Gallery
Opening in March 2022, The South West Rocks Community Art Gallery was established by local artists group The Rocks Painters in response to the need for more space for artists on the Mid North Coast to display their work and come together with other artists to share ideas.
The Gallery is a membership-based not-for-profit. Income is derived from commissions on sales, donations and fees for renting gallery space for all manner of exhibitions, both professional and for local aspiring artisans. Preference will be granted to artists resident in the Macleay Valley Region, but consideration will be given by the Committee to requests for exhibitions from outside the area.
The Gallery occupies the heritage-listed Pilot’s Residence, part of the Maritime Precinct hub, which includes the Museum building, the Arts and Craft Boatman’s Cottage 2, Men’s Shed, and adjoins the School of Arts Hall (cinema).
Find out more about the Maritime Precinct here.
Hours of opening: 10 am to 4 pm, Tuesday to Sunday
No admission fee, gold coin donation is welcome.
