The Old Buoys
The buoys are original buoys that have been painted by Sev Appleton and links Woolgoolga with its past era.
The cedar getters, the teamsters, the timber trade. An era commencing after the building of the first jetty in 1814. Standing on the site of a railway line which brought timber from Corindi and Woolgoolga Creek, the buoys are a symbol of a once busy port. The town’s lifeline, a mecca for overseas & coastal shipping.
