Arts Mid North Coast welcomes the first ever NSW Contemporary Music Strategy – launched by Sound NSW, with a commitment of $103 million over the next three years through funding initiatives and infrastructure.

This strategy is 10-year plan for strengthening the NSW music industry, the priorities of the plan include:

1. Prioritise and protect First Nations music
2. Strengthen the live and recorded music ecosystem
3. Future-proof the industry through upskilling and enabling collaboration
4. Improve industry capacity, diversity, safety and standards
5. Champion NSW music
6. Build insights and knowledge through research and data collection
7. Expand international markets
8. Support music communities including regional NSW

We have a burgeoning music scene here on the Mid North Coast and we look forward to working with the NSW Government and industry partners to advance our contemporary music industry in the region!
