Community groups in Cowper now have an exciting opportunity to enhance local infrastructure and resources through Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme (SCP) 2025. This initiative offers vital funding to empower volunteer and community organisations to support their members and improve facilities.

What is the Stronger Communities Programme?
The Stronger Communities Programme is a federal funding initiative designed to improve local community infrastructure, equipment, and resources. Whether it’s upgrading a community hall, purchasing new kitchen equipment, or renovating changerooms, the program provides grants to help community groups bring their projects to life.

For 2025 Round 9, groups can apply for grants ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 to fund eligible projects.

Key Features of 2025 Round 9:

  • No Matching Funding Required: Volunteer and community organizations can apply without the need for co-contributions.
  • Support for Local Governing Bodies: Eligible governing bodies can access up to 50% of project costs with matching funding required.
  • Focus on Impact: Projects should deliver significant benefits to the community and strengthen the role of volunteer organizations.
