We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Stephanie Sims for completing her six-year term as a Board Member for Arts Mid North Coast. Steph’s relationship with our organisation extends even further back, being previously employed as a Project Officer. We have greatly benefited from Steph’s enthusiasm, passion, and energy, as well as the wealth of corporate knowledge she brought to the table. She will be greatly missed.

We are pleased to announce that Brian Purcell was elected at our AGM held last week in Kempsey. Brian is a Bellingen-based poet and artist, he founded and coordinated the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival for its first six years, and has worked previously with the Australia Council for the Arts (now Creative Australia), Varuna Writers Centre, the ABC and the Australian Society of Authors. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in arts Board governance and the funding landscape, and has held Board positions with the Poets Union of NSW, on the founding committee of the NSW Writers Centre and been a peer assessor with the Regional Arts Fund.
