Arts Mid North Coast is proud to announce that it has been awarded $99 798 in funding from Creative Australia to deliver its new initiative, the Creative Pathways – Regional Artist Development Program.
Set to run from January 2026 to December 2027, Creative Pathways is an ambitious 18-month program designed to support the professional growth of emerging and mid-career artists living in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. The initiative will provide structured opportunities through:
- Targeted workshops and training
- A one-on-one mentorship program
- A paid internship program for emerging arts workers
- Dedicated support for First Nations artists
- A regional gallery showcase of new works
Delivered in partnership with key regional organisations including Yarrila Arts & Museum, Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery, Glasshouse Regional Gallery, and Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance, the program aims to foster creative development, strengthen industry networks, and build sustainable career pathways for artists living and working in the region.
“This funding allows us to respond directly to the needs of our local creative sector,” said Olivia Parker, Executive Director of Arts Mid North Coast. “Creative Pathways is about equipping regional artists with the tools, support, and confidence to grow sustainable, long-term careers in the arts.”
The program was developed in response to findings from the 2024 Creative Futures sector mapping research, which identified critical gaps in access to professional development, industry support, and career sustainability for regional creatives.
Arts Mid North Coast thanks Creative Australia for its ongoing commitment to regional arts development and looks forward to launching this vital initiative in early 2026.
