‘Galbahn Burrunbatayi – Women of the Dreaming’ opens this Thursday 21 March at the Coolamon Arts Hub in Kempsey, on Dunghutti Country.
‘Galbahn Burrunbatayi – Women of the Dreaming’ will feature new paintings, carvings and weavings by five Aboriginal women from the Mid North Coast of NSW and Sydney.
The artists showcasing their talents in this exhibition are:
◾ Sandy Abigall (Dunghutti, Birrbay and Gumbaynggirr)
◾ Leah Brown (Garawa and Mara)
◾ Aunty Jaluka Rose Quinlin (Dunghutti)
◾ Gai Southwell (Bundjalung)
◾ Chloe Spinks (Gamilaroi and Barkindji)
The exhibition will run from Thursday 21 March (National Close the Gap Day) until 24 May 2024, with an opening event open to all on Thursday 21 March, from 4-6pm at Coolamon Arts Gallery, 2/33 Smith Street, Kempsey, Dunghutti Country, NSW
