World music sensation MZAZA is offering free vocal and instrumental workshops alongside their spectacular show, The Birth and Death of Stars. These workshops are free, however participants must hold a ticket to the 3pm main performance to participate in the workshops.

Vocal Workshop – Glasshouse Studio

Join award-winning French-Australian singer Pauline Maudy for an uplifting vocal workshop, open to both beginners and experienced singers.

Pauline teaches French, Bulgarian, Spanish and Ladino songs, helping singers of all levels harmonise with ease.

In this special session, you’ll learn a classic French song from the 1960s, accompanied by instrumentalists.

And if you’re feeling inspired, you’ll even have the chance to perform as part of the 3pm show – but only if you’d like to!

Instrumental Workshop – Level 2 Mezzanine Foyer

Explore the vibrant sounds of Macedonian, Bulgarian, Greek and Turkish music with MZAZA.

In this hands-on workshop you will get a feel for some of the unusual rhythms, ornaments and pitches of modal music.

Bring your fiddle, guitar, ukulele, accordion, harmonica, hand percussion or any other instrument! Sheet music will be provided, but musicians who prefer to learn by ear are also welcome.

This workshop is open to all levels.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn from world-class!
