For the first time ever, the revered Belvoir St Theatre takes the stage at the Glasshouse with a powerful performance that delivers an engaging climate conversation through a deeply affecting theatrical experience.
From the mind of David Finnigan, an Australian writer and game developer at the forefront of climate change research and writing, comes a wild race through vignettes exploring an uncertain future of beaches where once there were none, travelling the world when aeroplanes are gone and zombie mice.
Remarkable, illuminating and at times shocking, Scenes from the Climate Era takes you through over fifty short scenes that catch the exhilaration, frustration and fascination of living in interesting times.
Equal parts comedic and thought-provoking, but never wagging its finger in your face, Scenes from the Climate Era is a play about now – about the choices we made yesterday, and the difficult beauty of tomorrow.
