Youth Arts
Empowering the next generation of creatives, Arts Mid North Coast is dedicated to fostering young talent by supporting and delivering youth arts projects and programs. We believe in providing opportunities that inspire, nurture, and amplify the voices of our young artists, shaping a vibrant future for the cultural landscape of our region.
SOUND FUTURES: Youth Music Program
SOUND FUTURES is our Youth Music Development program for young people aged 13 - 18. The program engages local musicians as mentors to young people who have an interest in the music industry. Through regular workshops, participants build their creativity, music and performance skills whilst gaining an understanding of the different career pathways in the industry - such as performance, production, events and management.
Creative Sparks
Creative Sparks is our Creative Industries program for youth aged 13-24. Through a series of workshops and panel talks, the program aims to promote the creative industries as a career, coping mechanism and community enhancer. The sessions are run in partnership with local Councils, education and industry partners.
Horizons
Horizons is a creative industry mentoring and career development program for NSW regional youth completed in 2024 as a joint project delivered by the Regional Arts Network.
The project ran over 18 months and supported 75 young people from across NSW to showcase their talents, gain experience, build valuable industry networks and kick start their creative career.
Creative Collaborations
Arts Mid North Coast partnered with Charles Sturt University (CSU) at the Port Macquarie campus to deliver 'Creative Collaborations' a creative engagement program designed to strengthen connections between newly arrived and international students and the local community. Through a series of inclusive, artist-led creative sessions and shared catered dinners, students were supported to meet new people, build social connection and engage creatively with their new surroundings. Guided by local artists, participants collaboratively contributed to a shared artwork developed over the course of the program, creating a welcoming, supportive space for connection, cultural exchange and belonging.
