Arts Mid North Coast's Youth Music Development program engages local musicians as mentors to young people age 13 - 18 who have an interest in music and entertainment. Through regular workshops, participants build their creativity, music and performance skills whilst gaining an understanding of the different career pathways in the industry - such as performance, production, events and management.

Being involved in music and creativity has long been known to have positive effects on our mental health and emotional well-being. Research has shown music can benefit young people in so many ways including:

  • helping improve memory and thinking skills
  • contributing to positive wellbeing and improved confidence
  • teaching discipline and inspiring creativity & self-expression

Ready Set Go 2024 - That's a WRAP!

Congratulations to our 2024 Ready Set Go cohort who performed their final performance in September.

Another year down and another awesome bunch of straight up legends! Such an honour to have you all a part of our program. We couldn’t be any prouder of you all  absolutely shining on stage at the Music Station!

Thank you to everyone - parents, friends and family - who came to support and encourage these beautiful young superstars, we couldn’t do it all without you!

Plus a big thank you to our mentors - DeeBee Bishop, Rob Torelli and Alicia Parry. Your support and guidance has produced some stellar young musicians, and we have no doubt they will go on to do great things!
