‘We Are all Born Creative’ was a workshop brought together by Karen Kerkhoven, an artist, dancer, and choreographer from Coomba Park, for children and youth in Forster.

Foster is a rapidly growing coastal community located south east of Taree. This region was impacted subsequently by the Black Summer Bushfires in 2019/2020 followed by the devastating floods in 2021.

During the workshops the children developed their comfort levels with movement. The workshop focused on encouraging the children to express themselves through art and dance and shared their experience of being in the fires, which they turned into a dance of rescuing the wildlife.
