Mid North Coast Venues Guide

Halls & Performance Spaces

Nearly every village on the  Mid North Coast has a hall and many of these are finding a new life as the heart of community arts. Some date back to the 1890’s as part of the School of Arts movement while others were built by their local communities even earlier.

Whereas many have raised stages, all in this section of our directory have flat floor seating accommodating 80 to 120 people. While there are challenges as to areas such as green rooms and dressing rooms a focus in their rebirth over the last 10 years has been the acquisition of lighting and technical services. What you will find in abundance however are enthusiastic and committed volunteers and audiences.
