Innovative, Arts, Health & Recovery Programs
Arts Mid North Coast delivers impactful arts, health, recovery initiatives for improved social, health and wellbeing outcomes in communities.
Our Arts, Health and Recovery program has also created meaningful opportunities for local artists to engage with and contribute to these crucial areas.
Creative Recovery
As we face increasing crises caused by floods, fires, droughts and now viruses such as COVID-19, the arts can play an important role in the response and recovery process.
Our work in Creative Recovery covers the growing network of local artists, cultural and community workers taking the lead in helping communities recover from the impact of such disasters through creativity.
Creative Ageing
Participation in the arts can have a powerful impact on the health and wellbeing of older people. Arts activities, such as dancing, music and singing have been shown to improve mobility and motor control, heart and respiratory function, greater self-esteem and confidence.
Musicians In Hospitals
This pilot program trained local musicians to deliver musical experiences at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus over a six-month period. Arts Mid North Coast sponsored the project for funding through the NSW Government's 'My Community Projects' program.
The Art Remedy Podcast
