With immense excitement, Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival (BWRF) welcomes new Festival Patron, Bryan Brown.

A true icon of Australian entertainment, Bryan first featured at the BRWF in 2021 to share his debut book, Sweet Jimmy.

Now, he joins BRWF to help share and celebrate the incredible landscape of Australian literature – fiction, non-fiction, and everything in between.

“It’s an interesting journey for a bloke who only read his first book at age twenty-five arriving as a Patron of the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival a number of years later. Many years later,”  Bryan said.

“And I’m pleased. I’m pleased I came at reading without being badgered like at school. The places and ideas that writers take us to widens our humanness.

How lucky are we.”

The Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival will once again bring the most thought-provoking and entertaining Aussie authors to the Mid North Coast on June 7th-9th, 2024.
