Museums & Galleries NSW administer several funds for the museums and galleries sector. Grants available include:

AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT FUND (ADF)

Assistance for galleries to target and develop new audiences.

DOBELL EXHIBITION GRANT

Supporting the development of innovative curated visual art exhibitions in regional NSW galleries.

FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Provides senior staff at NSW museums and galleries the opportunity to spend two weeks at an international cultural organisation.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Mentorships are a valuable professional development opportunity for emerging and mid-level museum and gallery staff.

VOLUNTEER PLACEMENTS

Volunteer staff from volunteer managed and small museums or Aboriginal cultural centres in NSW can apply for a professional skills development placement.

BUILDING IMPROVEMENT

The program focuses on providing expert assessments of museum and gallery buildings and how they function in terms of collection care, environmental sustainability and visit comfort.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Allows community museums and keeping places to carry out strategic and innovative projects.

SMALL GRANTS

Aims to meet the short-term, collection-based requirements of community museums and keeping places.

LEG UP GRANTS

Quick response skill development grants for workers in volunteer-managed museums.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Providing skill development training and networking events.
